A small Ottawa company that cleans houses well and says what it charges.
We started in Ottawa because we live here. We stayed small on purpose. And we put the price on the front page because we got tired of every other cleaning site making you ask for it.
How this started
Shineology began as The Clean Corner, a two-person operation working out of the west end. The name changed because we outgrew a corner. The way we work didn’t.
Every clean still runs from a written checklist. The same cleaner still comes back to the same home. And if something gets missed, we still come back and fix it without a form or an argument.
What we promise
The price is the price.
You see it before you give us a name. It changes only if the home is materially different from what was entered, and we call first.
Your cleaner is your cleaner.
On a recurring plan, the same person comes every time. They know where the good vacuum plug is and which cat bites.
Charged after, not before.
Your card is on file and charged when the clean is done and you’ve had a chance to look at it.
Re-clean within 24 hours, free.
If something isn't right, tell us within 24 hours and we'll come back and re-clean it — no charge, no argument.
Who does the cleaning
Our cleaners are independent professionals who’ve chosen to work with us. Every one has passed a police record check, carries our insurance while in your home, and is paid a living wage — not a per-house rate that rewards rushing.
We don’t hire fast. We’d rather say “next week” than send someone we haven’t worked with.
